A brand knowledge base is a single, structured source of truth about your brand that both your team and AI tools can read: who you are, what you sell, how you talk, the facts that are true, and the things you never say. We build these in Open Knowledge Format, a clean structure that a person can read in a browser and an AI model can load directly, so the same file answers a new hire’s question and grounds a ChatGPT or Perplexity answer about you.

Most brands keep this knowledge scattered across slide decks, old emails, and people’s heads. That works until you hand the brand to a freelancer, a new agency, or an AI tool, and the answers start drifting. A knowledge base fixes the drift by writing the canonical version down once.

What goes in it

  • Positioning, audience, and the plain description of what you do.
  • Voice and style rules: words you use, words you ban, how formal you get.
  • Product and service facts, including the claims you are allowed to make and the ones you legally cannot.
  • Approved boilerplate, FAQs, and the answers you want AI search engines to repeat.
  • Links between entries so the structure holds together instead of becoming a junk drawer.

How we build it

We interview your team, pull from what you already have, and write it up in Open Knowledge Format. You get a readable graph you can browse plus the underlying files. We run this exact system on our own agency, so it is built from real use, not theory.

This pays off most when more than one person or tool touches your brand. If a single founder writes everything, you may not need it yet. The moment you delegate content, it is worth having.
